“I don’t want us to go through our
careers known as ‘Freak Experts,’” laments LAPD Detective Nick
Jordan. But this is exactly what is happening to him and his partner,
Carson Hague as each of their investigation pushes them to the edge of
social norms.
The
first case has them risking their reputations, partnership and lives
in setting a trap for a serial rapist of men. They have no support
from their department that doubts such criminals exist let alone prey
upon average guys in sports bars. Though their risks pay off
professionally, the personal cost is high. Jordan and Hague are still
recovering when they are drawn into a case that has been riveting the
city for weeks. It is a series of ritualized killings of young
professional women. Unbeknownst to the public, all the victims were
into bdsm. It is a world that the police can’t begin to understand,
but Jordan knows well from his long years in Vice. Jordan and Hague
deftly navigate this strange terrain to an unlikely killer in an
unlikely role. Along the way they discover a great deal about each
other.
As if their lives weren’t complicated enough,
Jordan and Hague have recently become involved with each other.
Fraternization between partners is frowned upon in the police force in
general. Even in a force that has a gay Deputy Chief, being out can
get dangerous personally and professionally. But for Jordan and Hague,
the relationship is worth the risk of separation, a hysterical ex-wife
and overly curious co-workers. They are determined to find a way to
navigate the strange and dangerous places their emotionally charged
cases take them while staying together and keeping the jobs they were
meant to do.
The Series
The six episodes of a limited run series for
cable would take advantage of the format and explore issues that
can’t fit into a feature film. In the first season, the trials of
both Macy Oliver, the rapist, and Jeremy Sayer, the bdsm killer would
be threads through the season. There
would be intense pressure from each of their defense attorneys and a
lot of unwanted attention from the media. The other thread would
follow their adjustment to working with their assigned partners and
coping with near homophobia from men they have to depend on to protect
their backs. The case that will develop is a series of assaults in the
Gay Community. The last
one has a victim in a coma. Since the victims were in volatile
relationships, the focus has been on current or ex-lovers. However, Hague notices a pattern that’s inconsistent with
random domestic violence. This
discovery and the growing pressure from the community, has Jordan and
Hague reluctantly taking up the investigation. They discover a ‘club’ of wealthy young fraternity brothers
may be behind the attacks or ‘hunts.’ But an accusation of such
powerful people could cause them to lose everything they have.

Delphi
in short is The X-files meets The Fugitive where Mulder
is a Vampire. Simon Molinar is an ancient being of wisdom and terrifying
power – a Vampire. Yet
he manages to get himself ensnared by curious scientists with a
government grant and military backing. In their hands, Molinar suffers all the cruel indignities
medical science can offer. The
scientists are clever, but no one can contain a being that has
survived over a thousand years. Molinar
escapes in a vicious and bloody act of retribution that seems to leave
The Delphi Project that captured him in ruins.
Delphi rises again seeking
to find another being like Molinar or create one from the virus in his
blood. Thus, the Vampire returns but not to destroy. He comes back to rescue Dr. Joseph McKay from becoming
Delphi’s next experiment. The
Doctor was the one person who was kind to him during his captivity. He is the only mortal who knew what Molinar is and still
sought to comfort and protect him. Dr. McKay also carries the gene
that makes him predisposed to the effects of the virus.
The Doctor becomes a reluctant
companion to the Vampire as they seek to expose Delphi to the public
and prevent them from inflicting more misery on their human guinea
pigs. They chase Delphi data at Universities scattered all over the
country. Along the way,
they encounter more paranormal phenomena. They also encounter ordinary people who need extraordinary
help. Through it all, the
Vampire teaches the mortal Doctor how to live while the mortal Doctor
slowly re-introduces the Vampire to his humanity.
The Series
Delphi
would run 11 episodes every half season like Battlestar Galactica,
Doctor Who and Eureka. The first four episodes would follow the novel from the capture
of Simon Molinar until his rescuing of Joe McKay just ahead of being
quarantined by Delphi. For three or four episode arcs, Simon and Joe
are in a different city hunting for evidence on the first Delphi
experiments. Some of the stories involve the intrigue of getting
inside facilities to get at information. While they search and avoid
detection, they run into regular people too weak to fend off human
predators or too poor to pay for a search for loved ones. Joe and
Simon often find themselves fighting battles that aren’t their own.
And given that the Vampire exists, they run into other not-so human
creatures that aren’t as civilized as Simon. Joe finds himself in
the incredulous position of hunting things like Chubacabras, zombies
and a very real and very angry tooth fairy terrorizing a dental
convention.

For a time, this doesn’t concern Rik. He has made a connection with
his most volatile protégé on the battlefield, allowing him to see
all that he felt for the beautiful, infuriating young man. He is
thrilled when Vincent accepts his invitation to stay at his home and

kind. In stepping away from service, Rik and Vincent thought they’d
done everything to placate those who once controlled their lives. They
could never forsake their oath to protect and serve.
But those who remain in power will not give it up
easily. If they cannot control their most valuable assets, they will
destroy them. Rik and Vincent must find a way to break free of their
shackles and protect all that they hold dear. The stakes are higher
than they have ever been. Rik and Vincent are more vulnerable than
they’ve ever been. However, their bond has created a new power far
beyond what anyone has seen before. As always, Colonel Blitz and Major
Hardcase will do what is most unexpected to fulfill their oath while
fighting to build a life together.
Blood Oath is an exciting, six episode live action yaoi/manga-style
series based on the best-selling homoerotic Soldier’s Choice
novels. Like the wildly popular Japanese genre, Blood Oath
offers a look at an alternative reality where some humans have
extraordinary power and skill. There are dangers, intrigues, fantastic
battles and intense passions in this world. But at its core, Blood
Oath is about an extraordinary pair of men who, against all odds,
have learned that weapons can fall in love.
